The completed film has notched up successes at several film festivals around the world. Another Auckland screening was held on Thursday 3 August for cast and crew who could not attend the premiere. (See NEWS.)
The story:
Self-absorbed salesman Harry Thorogood wakes to find himself pinned under his crashed car in the middle of nowhere. A stranger watches him, unwilling or unable to help. Somehow the stranger knows Harry’s guilty secret – he’s a hit-and-run driver. Harry eventually confesses, and gets ready to die. But he becomes increasingly obsessed with a black beetle that survived the crash with him and is now on its back, helpless. Harry may still have time to put a few little things right.
